Car sales hit an all-time high

With four weeks left of 2018, it is already clear that this year will be the best ever for car sales in the Faroes.

Akstovan, the Faroese Vehicle Administration, registered 2,010 new passenger cars in the first 11 months of this year, which is 200 more than all of 2017.

In 2009, 697 new cars were sold in the Faroes. This means that car sales have tripled in the past nine years.
