Men still earn much more than women
Men are paid 62 percent of the wages in the Faroese job market

The latest figures from Statistics Faroe Islands show that men continue to earn more than women.

Out of DKK 2,388 million in total salary payments in the first half of 2018, men were paid DKK 1,478 million while women were paid DKK 910 million.

This amounts to men receiving 62 percent of all salary payments in the first half of 2018, compared with 38 percent for women.
