Høgni is the Nordic taekwondo champion

Høgni Kunoy Dávason from Søldarfjørður won the Nordic Taekwondo Championship in Iceland on Saturday.

The 14-year-old suffers from cystic fibrosis, which is a genetic disorder which affects the lungs.

But this is not holding the young man down. He lived in Singapore for a few years, where he got the black belt in taekwondo.

He says that taekwondo helps him deal with his illness. His daily training helps him maintain a healthy lung capacity.

And now he is the Nordic taekwondo champion in the 15-17 age group, weight class -59kg.
