Hospital bosses shed light on budget woes
A report from the country’s three hospital CEOs provides insight into the financial turmoil at the National Hospital

The increased activity in the hospital system is not reflected in the annual budget, nor are increasing salaries.
These are two of the main reasons for last year’s DKK 11 million budget overrun at the National Hospital, according to a report from last month, authored by the country’s three hospital CEOs.
In related news, some 50 hospital staff visited the Ministry of Health yesterday, in the wake of the National Hospital CEO’s resignation last week, to hand the minister 575 signatures in support of their former CEO and in protest of “the unstable management situation at the National Hospital”.
