Out of a total of more than 25,000 passenger cars, 122 are powered by electricity

On 1 April this year, 25,157 passenger cars were registered with Akstovan (the Faroese Vehicle Administration).
This figure consists of 15,350 petrol cars, 9,685 diesel cars and 122 electric cars.
Five other road vehicles run on electricity: two taxis, two vans and one motorcycle.
