Faroese fish feed producer Havsbrún recently sent 80 tonnes of fishmeal to Turkey, but the shipment has now returned to the Faroes.

According to Havsbrún CEO Odd Eliasen, the Turkish buyer was unable to pay, and the goods were not handed over.

Taking the current situation in in Turkey into consideration, Havsbrún decided to bring back the entire shipment, which has now arrived in Fuglafjørður.

The free trade agreement between the Faroes and Turkey includes an exemption from duty on fishmeal.
