Sandoy Seafood set to reopen under new management
All the 60 people who recently lost their jobs when Sandoy Seafood closed down will get their old jobs back

Mowi – formerly Marine Harvest – has sold the filleting plants in Skopun and Sandur to a new company, Sjø, headed by husband and wife Óli and Ann-Dorit Nattestad.

Earlier this month, staff at Sandoy Seafood’s two filleting plants were told that they had lost their jobs as the plants were closing down.

The new owners, who live in Hirtshals, Denmark, but have roots in Sandoy, say they are planning to reopen both plants, and all 60 workers will soon get their jobs back.
