Development quotas for 2019 handed out

It has finally been revealed who will be handed the development quotas for 2019.

The six recipients are located in Suðuroy and Sandoy. They are:

▪ P/F Thor and P/F Sandoy Seafood: 500 tonnes of mackerel and 1,000 tonnes of herring.

▪ P/F Vørðustíggjur (Eysturbúgvin): 500 tonnes of mackerel and 1,000 tonnes of herring.

▪ P/F North Atlantic Seafood: 5,500 tonnes of blue whiting.

▪ P/F TG Fish, P/F Steintór and P/F Jókin: 4,711 tonnes of blue whiting, 1,259 tonnes of mackerel and 2,000 tonnes of herring.

▪ P/F Defa: 1,500 tonnes of blue whiting, 500 tonnes of mackerel and 195 tonnes of herring.

▪ P/F Delta Seafood: 400 tonnes of mackerel and 500 tonnes of herring. All quotas are valid for one year.
