Landsverk wants to boost cycling in the Faroes

Landsverk wants the government to invest DKK 10 million annually on improving cycling conditions.

The road and tunnel authority suggests that this money could be spent on supporting projects run by national and local authorities in collaboration with the Public Health Board, tourist agencies and others.

These recommendations are based partly on a common concern by tourists in Visit Faroe Islands’ annual satisfaction surveys, which relates to a lack of dedicated bicycling paths and bicycle rental services.
