The heavy rain over the past days caused public energy supplier SEV’s water storage tanks to overflow.
This is the second time this year that the tanks overflow, despite the turbines working on full power, with the first time being in February.
The heavy rain is also reflected in the electricity production. On Thursday, 60 percent of SEV’s total electricity output was powered by water. On Friday and Saturday, this figure went up to 69 percent.
