Man jailed for assaulting customs officer
In July, the Court of the Faroe Islands handed a man a 20-day prison term for assaulting a customs officer.
The man appealed the sentence to the Danish High Court, which has now upheld the Faroese ruling.
The incident took place at Vágar Airport in March 2018 when, as part of a routine check, the man lost his temper and behaved in an aggressive and violent manner against a customs officer.
In addition to the prison term, the man was also ordered to pay the legal costs for his defence.
