People with corona-like symptoms should not use Ibuprofen to reduce fever, says health authority

The Chief Pharmacist is urging the public to avoid using Ibuprofen to control their fever if they feel corona- or flu-like symptoms.
This is because Ibuprofen is known to affect the immune system, potentially aggravate the symptoms.
People should instead use paracetamol, also known by the brand names Panodil or Pinex, says Chief Pharmacist Hjalti Gunnarstein.
