Below are some safety tips for people going back to the dentist, hairdresser, physiotherapist and other services involving close physical contact
06.05.2020 - 07:36
As part of the second reopening phase, services involving close physical proximity can now resume their activities under carefully controlled conditions.
To help reduce the risk of corona infection during this reopening phase, the Work Environment Authority has issued a list of tips for people making use of these services.
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser when you enter the store/clinic and when you leave.
- Keep physical contact such as handshakes, cheek kisses and hugs to a minimum.
- When possible, avoid touching exposed objects such as credit card terminals, touch screens, tabletops, chairs and other objects that may have been touched frequently by others.
- Keep a safe distance to other customers, ideally two metres.
- Make sure that there are not too many people in the store/clinic. A minimum of four square metres of unoccupied floor space per person is recommended. Ask staff if you have any concerns.
- Book a time and show up on time to avoid crowding in the waiting area.
- Cough and sneeze into your elbow or a disposable tissue, not your hands.
- Politely ask others to respect the health guidelines.
