The country’s municipalities have implemented a new nationwide plan for visits at elderly care homes.

People coming from abroad are asked to wait 14 days before visiting elderly or other vulnerable people in care homes.

Those unable to wait 14 days have the option of waiting one week and taking a COVID-19 test on day six after arriving in the country.

The same guidelines apply to people who have not recently come from abroad but who have attended events with a potential infection risk or have been in contact with someone who has recently arrived in the country.
