Follow-up Covid test proves positive

A traveller who initially tested negative at Vágar Airport was found to be Covid-19 positive upon a second test a few days later.

The person has been quarantined and contact tracing has been initiated.

There are now six active cases in the country, one of whom is receiving Covid-19 treatment in hospital.

According to the latest figures on corona.fo, seven people are currently in quarantine.
