No unwrapped candy for trick-or-treaters
Covid expert shares some safety tips for tonight’s trick-or-treating activities

Tonight is the night when you can expect young trick-or-treaters to come knocking on your door asking for candy.

“Although our current Covid-19 situation is relatively safe, there are a few safety considerations that are worth considering with regards to trick-or-treating,” says public health professor Pál Weihe.

“It is advisable not to hand the children a big bowl of unwrapped candy, and there is no need for the children to step all the way into the house they are visiting.”

An added safety benefit, he adds, would be to use hand sanitisers.
