Food marketplace planned for Klaksvík
Plans are in place to set up a marketplace for vendors of fresh food in the country’s second-largest city

Klaksvík City Council wants to establish a marketplace for traders who want to sell fresh food products such as fish, poultry and dried meat.
The location of the marketplace has not yet been decided, but the city council aims to complete the project during the current electoral period.
Private food traders were last week invited to a consultation meeting, which in addition to the marketplace also touched on plans to set up public toilets and improve conditions for boat owners in the city.
Funding has already been earmarked for these plans.
