Ukraine will do everything it can to bring Faroese fish exporters into the Ukrainian market.

This is the message from Mykhailo Vydoinyk, the Ukrainian ambassador to Denmark, speaking to KvF after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s video address to the Danish Parliament earlier today.

The ambassador said that Faroese exporters who leave the Russian market will receive help from Ukraine to find alternative markets.

“I encourage all companies in the Danish Kingdom that are withdrawing from Russia to focus on Ukraine,” he said.

He added that Ukraine’s government has started working on tax and investment incentives for companies in the Danish Kingdom to allow them to resettle their export activities into Ukrainian territory.

“We will do everything we can to create favourable conditions for your companies to continue in Ukraine. This will be a kind of compensation for the losses which they might incur from leaving the Russian market.”
