Atlantic Airways raises ticket prices

Faroese flag carrier Atlantic Airways is increasing its ticket prices to cover rising oil costs.

“The ticket price rise varies according to a number of factors,” says CEO Jóhanna á Bergi.

“Our prices remain competitive, and it is unlikely that our customers will be discouraged by this relatively minor price increase.”

The airline has hedged against oil price increases for parts of this year, she adds.

“If we had not done that, we would have seen much higher ticket prices now.”

The updated ticket prices can be seen on the airline’s website.
