52 Covid cases in the past week
Most people report mild, cold-like symptoms that last a couple of days, says doctor

Fifty-two Covid cases have been registered in the Faroes over the past week.

Most of these people were infected in the Faroes, and most cases involve the new BA. 5 subvariant, according to Dr Eyðbjørg Gaard.

“Most of those who have tested positive are in the 30-60 age bracket, and most of them report mild, cold-like symptoms that last for one or two days, but the symptoms last a little longer for some,” she says.

“We’re keeping a close eye on the situation.”
