More vocational training needed for primary sector

There should be more educational opportunities aimed at the primary sector.

So says Magnus Gaard, principal of the Miðnám grammar school in Vestmanna, which last week launched its vocational programme in onshore and offshore fish farming.

“The new course will train future staff of the country’s leading export industry, and it would benefit everyone if there was a wider range of educational opportunities aimed at this sector,” he says.
