Danish general election called for 31 October
Faroese voters will be electing Faroese representatives in the Danish Parliament one day ahead of voters in Denmark and Greenland.
The reason is that the Danish election date, 1 November, coincides with the Faroese annual day of remembrance for those lost at sea.
The Faroese government requested to have the Faroese election date pushed forward to 31 October, and this request was granted by the Danish Parliament.
