Top handball coach extends contract

Peter Bredsdorff-Larsen will be at the helm of the national men’s handball team for another two years, the Faroese Handball Federation (HSF) announced yesterday.
“I feel I have achieved what I set out to do here in the Faroes, and I want to continue,” said the Dane, who arrived in the Faroes two years ago after winning the Danish championship with Bjerringbo-Silkeborg.
Larsen’s willingness to continue left the HSF with an easy decision:
Building on a solid foundation
”We have been very happy with Peter and his management team in the past couple of years,” says HSF’s sporting director Mark Lausen-Marker.
“We are seeing healthy development in the top squad, and we need more of that if we are to achieve the great results we’re looking for.”
The players also appear happy to see their coach extend his contract:
“This extension allows us to continue our upward momentum,” says player Helgi Hildarson Hoydal.
