Big expenditure growth in 2020 state budget

Public expenditures will increase by DKK 134 million next year.

The increased spending will predominantly be spread over three ministries.

The appropriation for the Ministry of Social affairs has been increased by DKK 65, with a large chunk of this amount earmarked for funding the increased basic amount for old age pensioners.

Health services will receive an additional DKK 40 million, most of which will be spent on the current expansion of the National Hospital.

Expenditures for the Ministry of Culture will increase by DKK 15 million. Next year’s estimated state revenue increase is DKK 186.5 million.
