Man in custody on police officer assault charge

A man in Tórshavn has been detained for two weeks on charges of assault against police officers.

The man allegedly assaulted the officers when they entered the man’s house intending to arrest him on suspicion of having stolen an air gun from a store. 

On Saturday, a store in Tórshavn reported that an electric air gun, which uses CO2 cartridges to fire powerful shots, had been stolen.
