H71 wins both handball cup finals

Spectators at yesterday’s women’s handball cup final between H71 and VÍF were kept on edge right until the final whistle.

The two teams were evenly matched throughout the game, but in the end H71 drew the longer straw, winning 24-23 to secure the club’s first ever women’s cup final.

The men’s final between H71 and Kyndil was also a close-run affair up until the final quarter of the game when H71 took charge of the game, securing a 23-19 win.

H71 is well-represented in this weekend’s handball cup finals, featuring in ten out of the 12 finals taking place across all age groups.
