Thirty-eight new Covid cases
This matches the record-high number of daily cases from 5 August last year

Yesterday’s 882 Covid tests resulted in 38 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

All were infected in the Faroes, and all but one of these are linked to known chains of infection.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: ?, 10, 6, 13, 15, 26 and 38.

There are currently 134 active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 248 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 39,114 people (73.1 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 37,404 (69.9 percent) have received the second shot.
