New plan for gender equality in the labour market

The Nordic Council is calling on governments across the Nordic region to work towards greater gender equality in the labour market.

A set of recommendations, soon to be debated in the Faroese Parliament, includes provisions about securing equal pay for men and women.

The Nordic Council is also recommending fundamental adjustments to the education system with special emphasis on traditionally gender-specific occupations.
