The Article 25 Committee, which oversees the Prime Minister’s constitution proposal, will not reach a conclusion during this parliamentary sitting.

Bill Justinussen, the deputy chairman of the Article 25 Committee, says that due to significant disagreement within the commission, no report will be handed in to Parliament before the summer break.

The Prime Minister’s proposal, along with the Article 25 Committee, will be withdrawn when Parliament sits again on 29 July. But any MP is, of course, free to resubmit the proposal, and a new committee can be elected.

The Article 25 Committee has had 15 meetings about the proposal for a constitution.
