Bakkafrost CFO stands down
Gunnar Nielsen, who has worked as chief financial officer at Bakkafrost since 2014, refuses to discuss reasons for resignation

14.01.2019 - 14:39

Salmon farming giant Bakkafrost is on the lookout for a new chief financial officer after Gunnar Nielsen handed in his notice yesterday.

Nielsen, 42, declines to comment on the reasons for his departure, revealing only that it is a personal decision and that it is not due to a competing job offer.

He will, however, remain in his CFO role until a replacement has been found.

In 2014, Nielsen took over from then CFO Teitur Samuelsen, who went on to become CEO of tunnel company P/f Eysturoyar- og Sandoyartunlarnir.
