More apprentices and improved educational opportunities. These are the key points of a three-part agreement between the government, employers and trade unions.
The deal includes a new system with government-subsidised apprenticeships in times of increased unemployment, ensuring a steady flow of apprentices regardless of the economic situation.
Improvements will also be made to the theoretical parts of apprenticeships, including a more flexible timetable and the possibility for employers to take in apprentices twice a year as opposed to only once.
