The finance ministry has agreed to pay out DKK 2 million more to low-income families next year than originally planned.

The existing appropriation is DKK 5,450,000, and the additional grant makes up an increase of 40 percent.

This year, 391 families qualified for family benefits. In 2017, the number was 365 and in 2016 it was 319.

Of this year’s recipients, 72 individuals were classified as higher-education students.
