Bus timetables in Tórshavn under review

Tórshavn City Council is proposing changes to its bus timetables.
Changes include bus services until 11pm on Saturdays, and Sundays between 10am and 9pm. The villages in Tórshavn municipality will be on standby during weekends.
Another change is that two primary routes will be running every 15 minutes. One goes from á Hamrinum, Argir, to Hoyvík and back. The other goes from Norðasta Horn to á Hálsi and back.
Two secondary routes
Two secondary routes will be running every half hour. One runs from the AB stadium, Argir, to Hoyvík and back, while the other goes from Millum Gilja to Steinatún and back.
The City Council has extended its contract with Sp/f Gundur´s bussar until 1 April this year and is planning to implement a trial system with the same supplier until 1 April next year.
Tórshavn’s bus services cost DKK 24 million annually. The new timetable will add another DKK 4 million to the running costs.
