Negative corona tests

When the news broke on Thursday that a second Faroese citizen had contracted the coronavirus, a number of people were immediately tested.
About 30 tests were conducted, and all proved negative.
Now that two cases of the coronavirus have been identified in the country, 32 Faroese residents have been quarantined, nine at Hotel Vágar and the rest in their respective homes.
Major disruptions
The arrival of the coronavirus to the Faroes has made its mark on all of society in many ways.
One big change is that public events involving large numbers of people are being cancelled.
One example is last night’s Faroese Music Awards show, which ended up as a live TV programme with no audience. Another is that kickoff for the first round of the men’s Premier League football season has been postponed for a week.
