Another eight new Covid cases

Yesterday’s 1,275 Covid-19 tests yielded eight positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

Seven of these are linked to a known chain of infection, while the remaining person’s source of infection has not yet been identified.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 5, 6, 0, 3, 2, 8 and 8.

There are currently 47 active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 172 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 20,841 people (39,2 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 12,387 (23.3 percent) have received the second shot.
