No Omicron in the Faroes

The new Omicron Covid has not yet made its way to the Faroes.

On Tuesday, the chief medical officer called for gene sequencing of four positive Covid tests due to Omicron concerns.

The gene sequencing results show that the samples did not contain the Omicron but the Delta variant.

Three other positive tests were today sent for gene sequencing.
