Change of plan for child vaccinations
Hospitals will be administering vaccines to young children until further notice. Preparations are underway

The plan to have GPs administer COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 5-11 did not come through, reports corona.fo.

This was due to practical complications such as gathering the right number of children at the right time at GP surgeries to ensure that no vaccine doses go to waste.

Until a permanent solution is found, the hospital service will be vaccinating the 5-11 age group, and according to health minister Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen, these vaccinations will start next week.
