Remaining Covid restrictions lifted today

Today marks the lifting of the remaining set of Covid restrictions.

Recommendations for testing and quarantine will no longer apply.

As of Saturday, a total of 778,000 tests had been carried out in the country.

Since the outbreak in March 2020, 34,237 people in the Faroes have tested positive Covid, and 28 Covid-related deaths have been recorded.

A total of 93 percent of the 12+ population have received the first vaccine dose, 91.1 percent the second and 45.7 percent have received a third booster shot.
