Surprisingly quiet weekend for the police

Thousands made their way to Tórshavn’s city centre last night for the Voxbotn music festival.

With so many people gathered at an event where there is no shortage of alcohol, it would be fair to expect at least a bit of trouble.

Yet the only matters the police attended to were two drivers who were caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

As in previous Voxbotn events, police praised the event’s first aiders for their work.

Police in Vágur, Suðuroy, where the annual Jóansøka town fair was held yesterday, also had no reports of any trouble.
