Third consecutive day with no positive Covid tests
No new domestic Covid-19 cases have been registered since Friday

Yesterday’s 529 tests resulted in no new Covid-19 cases.

However, 29 crew members on Russian trawler Yantarnyy, currently docking in Kollafjørður, tested positive yesterday. The entire crew has been banned from leaving the ship.

Two of the infected crew members are in hospital, bringing the total number of Covid patients receiving hospital treatment up to five. Both of the Russian sailors are undergoing respirator treatment.

The total number of active cases on land is now 44. Including the Russian sailors, the total figure is 73.

The official number of people currently in quarantine is now 251.
