National Covid vaccine programme underway
Although no Covid-19 vaccine has yet been approved, the Faroese health authorities have started preparing a national vaccination plan

A working group will soon be established to set up a national Covid-19 vaccination programme, the health ministry announced today.

This programme will outline the procedures, including details on priority groups, to be applied once a vaccine hits the market.

As soon as a vaccine hits the market, the Faroes will receive a share of Denmark’s EU allocation of vaccines.

In related news, yesterday was the fourth consecutive day with no new Covid cases. There are now five active cases in the country.
