Rolled seasoned meat recalled from stores

Danish food manufacturer Danish Crown last week warned people not to eat its ‘rullepølse’ rolled seasoned meat products with a ‘best before’ date of 27 July.
The company has now revised its instructions and warns against eating ‘rullepølse’ produced after 1 June.
Many stores across the Danish Kingdom sell these products under the following brand names: Pålækker, Den Grønne Slagter and Rema 1000.
These steps were taken because there is a risk of the products containing the listeria bacteria, which may cause symptoms resembling those of the common flu, including fever, headache and in some cases stomach troubles.
Danish Crown says it has cleared out its ‘rullepølse’ inventory and that new products will not enter the market until the listeria issue has been clarified.
