Police launch number plate removal campaign

Thirty-six vehicles in Eysturoy and 43 in the capital region have had their number plates removed in the past couple of days.

Akstovan, the vehicle administration, has asked police to remove the number plates from uninsured and untaxed vehicles, mostly due to road tax arrears.

Vehicles can be re-registered once the arrears have been paid in full.
