Nurse strike: “negotiations are a waste of time”

Just a quick update on the ongoing nurse strike.

The dispute resolution board is doing what it can to mediate between the opposing parties, the nurses’ union and the finance ministry.

But negotiations appear to be going nowhere.

“There have been some communications between the two parties,” says Terji Sigurðsson, of the dispute resolution board.

“But, to be honest, there is no real progress. At this point, negotiations are a waste of time.”
