Travel agency goes bankrupt

Travel agency WeTravel has gone bankrupt, and its website and Facebook page are down.

According to an announcement from the company, cited by news portal portal.fo, the bankruptcy will affect an unspecified number of travellers who have bought tickets through the company, as WeTravel tickets were not covered by the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund.

Despite a last-minute DKK 1.2 million funding boost, the company found itself unable to make ends meet, the announcement says. 

kvf.fo is awaiting comments from Jacob Slyne og Niels Juel Nolsøe, who founded the company in Tórshavn in 2015.
