A GP surgery at Smyrilsvegur in Tórshavn will house six GPs after the surgeries at Frúutrøð and Berjabrekka shut down

Tórshavn City Council is planning to rent the 2,680 sq m premises at Smyrilsvegur 20 and turn it into a large GP surgery.
A proposal has been submitted regarding the layout of a GP surgery, an office for three clinical dieticians and one for the health visitors at Gigni.
The surgeries at Frúutrøð and Berjabrekka, which currently house a total of four GPs, will be shut down, and the GPs will move to a new surgery at Smyrilsvegur.
The matter will be further debated at tonight’s City Council meeting.
