Jackpot lottery winner identified

A lucky Faroese citizen won DKK 20 million on Saturday in the Danish national lottery.

The winner, who wishes to be anonymous, told the lottery’s website that he or she intends to spend the money and enjoy it.

Rather than spending the huge sum on travelling or making investments, the winner is planning to help the family and make improvements in the local area.

The winning ticket, the only one with all seven winning numbers, was sold in the Effo petrol station in Tvøroyri, Suðuroy.
