Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark’s public visit to the Faroes yesterday included presenting the winner’s award for the Faroese stage of the Creative Business Cup.
The winner was Sverre Nolsøe, who has developed the ‘SafeFriend’ personal alarm system, designed to help people in emergencies.
Nolsøe will represent the Faroes in the international Creative Business Cup final held in Copenhagen in November.
Creative Business Cup, an annual international competition for creative entrepreneurs, aims to help up-and-coming entrepreneurs grow their business ideas, connect them to investors and strengthen their innovative capabilities.
Seventy nations are taking part in this year’s competition.
