Tvøroyri, the biggest city on Suðuroy, saw a slight increase in its population last year.

Suðuroy has for years been struggling with a declining population, but now things are looking up, according to Statistics Faroe Islands.
With an increase of eight citizens last year, the island’s biggest city, Tvøroyri, now has a total population of 1,721.
Porkeri also had an increase of eight citizens, putting the current population at 320.
Hov and Sumba enjoyed minor increases in their population, too.
The population in Fámjin remains unchanged, while Hvalba and Vágur saw a slight drop in their population in the past year.
