Some bus routes are cancelled in Eysturoy and Norðoyggjar, and some villages are inaccessible by car

Bus routes in the Skálafjørður area in Eysturoy, and in Kunoy and Viðareiði, have been temporarily cancelled due to the heavy snow.
Roads in Norðoyggjar are particularly hard hit by the snow, and many areas there are unreachable by car.
Landsverk, the Road and Tunnel Authority, is asking drivers to take extra care on the small roads. Gjógv (Eysturoy) and Kirkjubø and Syðradalur (Streymoy) are currently not accessible by car.
Public transport company Strandfaraskip Landsins says that more public transport cancellations can be expected today. Stay up to date here.
